Per the State of New York, all teacher candidates must complete a liberal arts college course requirement. During the application process, your transcript will be evaluated for these courses. If you lack any of these credits, you may earn them at any accredited college or by taking a relevant CLEP test.
If a student lacks more than three liberal arts requirements, we recommend earning these credits before beginning your Masters coursework at Pratt SILS.
Liberal Arts Course Requirements:
- Language other than English (6 credits)
- Written Expression
- Historical and Social Science
- Scientific Processes
- Mathematical Processes
